THE STORY BEHIND VILLA SESSANA

Maybe it is the quiet. Maybe it is the olive trees, the open land, the slower rhythm of the countryside near Ostuni. Maybe it is the way the light moves through the house from morning to evening. Whatever it is, Villa Sessana, our private villa in Puglia, is the place where we come back to ourselves.

We love waking up here early, before the day begins properly. The air is still cool, everything is silent, and the first light is soft and gentle. Coffee tastes different here. Time feels different too.

Days unfold slowly. A long breakfast outside. A swim in the pool. Reading in the shade. A drive to the coast or into town. Coming back with something fresh from the market, and spending the evening cooking, talking, opening another bottle of wine, staying at the table longer than planned.

At night, it is the sky we always come back to. Sitting outside under the stars, with the house quiet behind us and the countryside all around, is one of the things we love most.

We have spent some of our happiest time here with the people we love most — family, close friends, children running barefoot, long lunches turning into dinner, and simple days that somehow become unforgettable.

Over time, we have also fallen in love with life in Puglia — the warmth of the people, the beauty of the landscape, and that slower, softer rhythm that we return for again and again.
